Tips to connect legacy devices: put phone in Airplane mode and turn off "auto connect to Wi-Fi" network. Setup will complete but you may get a "remote access" failure. This means Belkin no longer supports your legacy device for control outside the local Wi-Fi network, but OpenHAB can still control locally. Also, it appears Belkin is getting ready to pull the plug on Wemo since all app support links go to a "This url does not exist irl" page. Wemo used to be good.2024-05-14 15:26:37

The widgets dont work on android. Every time I try to use them, it crashes and then an error message pops up and says that there's a known bug with the WeMo app so maybe someday they'll make an update to fix the bugs and then I can load in the new version of the app. I'm still waiting for the new app to be updated. I mean, it's not like widgets are a new thing.2024-05-11 06:05:10

Total waste. Got the smart plugs, downloaded the app, registered, got one up. Worked for about a day or two. Then every time I tried to log in to troubleshoot my plug, it told me I needed to verify my email. I must have resent it a hundred times. I checked all my boxes and never recieved it. Customer service is practically non existent. They keep calling me at times I have repeatedly told them I'm not available. I'm done. I've gone with TreatLife. I've used them in the past, they're much better.2024-05-09 18:04:10

its 2024 and belkin/wemo has still managed to put out the same garbage product it has since 2018. ive got a dozen different no name chinese off brand plugs, a few from cheap brand, and a few from expensive brand. Everything connects to my wifi and google right away. Every one of them is available 24/7. Enter wemo.. Connecting takes 50 tries, rolling back the app, standing on one foot. Devices are regularly "not detected" therefore useless power drains. belkin should be ashamed of themselves.2024-05-05 22:10:12

Nothing but problems. Adding more wemo products just overwrites those that are already existing and connected. Some products the app doesn't see some it does. Have factory reset everything. Deleted my account and created new. I am so frustrated and angry I'm about to clear my house of everything WEMO and throw it in the trash! The previous app worked perfectly fine. Whatever you did, undo it.2024-05-05 15:07:42

I bought a bunch of wemo switches thinking it would be the least buggy, but sadly this hasn't been the case. My wall dimmer switch contastantly blinks red and Google assistant always says they "can't reach Wemo," when I try to turn on a light thats connected to a plug with my voice. That means I have to fumble around for my phone in the dark, open the wemo app, and click on the light. Useless.2024-05-04 06:12:51
