This app is great when it works. However, this app has a ton of bugs. The speed trst crashes when your phone goes into sleep mode. In addition, it prompts you too many times for an Admin password dispite the fact you are entering it correctly. Tried reinstalling, clearing the cache, and changing my admin password. Was OK, fails to connect remotely to the router even though 'anywhere access' is enabled. Issues for the past 3 weeks or so, and multiple updates issued in that time. Even when it does connect, there is intermittent ability to control access to individual devices. This app is useless. It isn't accurate in showing the current status of the satellites (takes mins to update if at all) and what do I even do with it? I use it to try debugging when our connection drops and this can't even give me accurate info, I can't restart the router/satellites, I can't reassign devices to a particular satellite if one is playing up. Cannot access my Orbi since update. I'm on my WiFi, but the app doesn't appear to recognize it any longer. Says I need to do a set up for a new router, or try again, or use access anywhere. None of these options work and I shouldn't need to set up a router I've used for 2 years, when the app was working fine before the update. No Firmware updates available, so that's not it either. After buying a 3 hub system specifically for the features Netgear promotes on their website; limit and monitor time, set a bed time, control kids usage, only to find out that it's an additional 'premium' service hosted by a 3rd party app, is extremely disappointing. I don't know what the Netgear Orbi app developers are doing but it's certainly not creating a good product. It was passable before, simple to use but basic and a bit dated. That has changed since I regrettably updated the app, now it has more bugs in it than a chunk of rotting wood. Won't stay logged in, it can't even do a simple speed test any more even after rebooting the router among other frustrating issues that shouldn't be there considering the exorbitant amount of $$$ I gave to Netgear.2024-05-03 19:12:25
