somewhat buggy, with occasional lock ups; paid for parental control, had major issues adding iphone to it, and fails.. numerous hours with tech support with no resolution. Barely two stars. To come from Genie to Nighthawk is a slap in the face. I really expected much more. Like the ability to easily see all wireless AND wired devices attached to my network (along with MAC address). Internet Speed test doesn't work. No network map. Poor Wireless channel scanning/mod tools. This app is so basic that its a joke. Netgear, I've seen you do better. So do better. Terrible app for an atrocious product. What they need is a single-button "reboot" widget for the lock screen, because it's impossible to Cast, print, or do just about anything that requires a device to have a reliable wireless connection with this router. App functions well with little bugs. The wifi analytics is a good feature but, the degree at which you can alter settings of the router is far too basic, to the point that it really doesn't serve much purpose. Why can't I change all of the other settings if I want to? Why can't I change the channel of my wifi or shut off a certain band whenever I want? I had more fun during a root canal than using this app. As a Nissan leaf owner I thought I knew what was rock bottom in terms of apps until I met Nighthawk, there is a new number 1. Setting up a new router is like talking to a goldfish, the app constant forgets what it's doing and what it's done. App is giving me notifications which are ads and constantly shows security threats a a couple devices but then says it can report what the threat was. They are always pushing their security package and offering a discount. I have eset internet security on all my devices. My suspicion is that it is all a ploy to get people to pay for more products.
