Samsara Driver

Samsara Driver is a mobile app for professional drivers and fleet teams that helps manage routing, inspections, and regulatory compliance. It supports Hours of Service (HOS) and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) requirements and serves as a central tool for daily driving tasks.

The app replaces paper inspection forms with digital pre- and post-trip reports, including detailed defect listings and photo support. Real-time GPS tracking and routing updates provide location, estimated time of arrival, and stop information to help drivers stay on schedule.

Two-way messaging enables secure communication between drivers and dispatch or fleet managers. When paired with Samsara Vehicle hardware, the app can surface vehicle diagnostics, safety monitoring, dashcam footage, and additional sensor data to assist with maintenance and incident review.

The interface is optimized for in-vehicle use with large buttons, clear alerts, and quick access to common functions. Recent updates include streamlined task status options, simplified HOS log edits, an improved HOS dial, faster vehicle selection, and general performance and design enhancements.
