CPU Throttling Test

CPU Throttling Test is a lightweight utility developed in India that helps you evaluate how your device’s processor responds under sustained load. By running timed benchmarks you can view maximum, minimum and average GIPS (giga instructions per second) and observe how frequency and overall CPU usage change over time.

The app shows the device's highest observed CPU clock, total CPU utilization, and provides a summary of throttling behavior so you can compare performance with other devices worldwide. A built-in help section explains the measurements and technical terms to make results easier to understand.

For more accurate results, allow your device to cool for at least 10 minutes and close background apps before starting a test. Short tests of five minutes provide quick insight, while longer runs (10, 20 or 40 minutes) reveal more about sustained performance; a 20-minute test is often recommended for a fuller picture. Be aware that extended benchmarking can increase power draw and heat, which may temporarily affect battery life and device temperature.
